KUALA LUMPUR (May 8): Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) announced on its website that there will be a system downtime on Monday and Tuesday (May 11 and 12) and certain services will be unavailable. 

Maybank said services which will be unavailable on Monday between 11:30pm and 11:59pm are Maybank2u, Maybank2u MY app, QRPay app, Wealth app, FPX payment and debit card transactions.

Between Monday 10pm and Tuesday 7am, services which will be unavailable are the bank’s ATMs besides its smart recycle and cheque deposit machines, according to Maybank.

"Important notice: system downtime. We apologise for any inconvenience caused,” Maybank said.

At the time of writing, Maybank’s share price rose one sen or 0.13% to RM7.42 for a market capitalisation of RM83.3 billion. The stock saw 1.57 million shares traded.
