KUALA LUMPUR (April 2): AEON Retail will offer a 28-day rental waiver for the period of the Movement Control Order (MCO) to tenants with non-essential businesses that are unable to operate at their premises, reported Focus Malaysia today.

“We thank our partners and retailers for their valuable support during these trying times and we understand their predicament.

“We express our support as we help ease their financial burden by offering them a waiver of rental during the first and second MCO period,” Shafie Shamsuddin, CEO of AEON Retail Malaysia told the news portal.

The rental waiver will take place from March 18 to April 14 and “is subject to terms and conditions, and is on a case-by-case basis”, said the report

The waiver of rental will be provided in all 28 AEON Malls and 18 AEON BiG Mall Hypermarkets in Malaysia.
