Tan Sri Eddy Chen

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 1): Metro Kajang Bhd managing director Tan Sri Eddy Chen (pictured) has been appointed as the new chairman of Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia, the Prime Minister's Office announced today. His appointment will take effect on today (Oct 1).

He is replacing Tan Sri Alies Nor Abdul, who has resigned on June 1, the PMO said in a statement.

Eddy Chen has wide experience in the real estate industry, in which he has been in for over three decades, the PMO said. Chen was also previously president of the Real Estate and Housing Developers Association (Rehda) between 1998 and 2002.

Together with Chen, three other new PR1MA board of directors have been appointed. They are: Datuk Faris Yahaya, Mohd Ali Abdul Karim, and Ahmad Shahrul Mohamed.
