SINGAPORE (August 14): An aircraft linked to an investigation into 1MDB is parked at the city-state's Seletar Airport, said Singapore police today, according to Reuters.
Said aircraft is believed to be owned by fugitive financier Low Taek Jho.
Singapore authorities had not previously confirmed that the private jet was in the city, saying that no formal request from the Malaysian authorities was made.
Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has said that he is looking to repossess the US$35 million (RM143.3 million) private jet.
Earlier reports said that the private jet, a Bombardier Global 5000, was impounded by Singapore authorities in 2017 and grounded at the republic's Seletar Airport.
Dr Mahathir was previously asked if the plane should be brought back to Malaysia, and he responded, saying: "Yes, I think so. We have to bring it back."
