PETALING JAYA (June 20): Datuk Seri Jamal Yunos’ house in the Klang Valley was burgled by four men claiming to be his bodyguards, reported The Star.

The four were believed to have broken into his house at around 8.30am on June 17, taking pairs of sunglasses, some clothes, handbags, a luggage bag and two CCTV decoders.

Selangor CID chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Fadzil Ahmat said the value of the items have not been assessed yet.

“The men said they had not been paid by Jamal and wanted to take clothes and shoes,” he added.

The incident is being investigated as burglary under Section 380 of the Penal Code.

No arrests have been made so far.

The whereabouts of the fugitive Umno politician are unknown, with speculation that he is hiding in Indonesia although he claims to still be in the country in videos posted online.

A warrant of arrest has been issued against him for failing to show up at the remention of his case for smashing beer bottles at the front gate of the Selangor state secretary (SUK) building last October.
