PETALING JAYA (April 6): EdgeProp.my’s Malaysia Virtual Property Expo (VPEX) 2017 has emerged a finalist in The MARKies Awards 2018 organised by Advertising + Marketing magazine.
16TWO Communications Labs Sdn Bhd is the digital partner of the expo, the first of its kind not just in Malaysia but in this part of the world.
VPEX 2017 has been voted as a finalist in two categories The Best Idea — B2B and Best Idea — Business Events categories of The Award.
Last year, 20 established developers participated in the expo that showcased over 50 projects.
VPEX differs from traditional physical property fairs by enabling consumers to check out the projects 24 hours a day, from anywhere and without incurring any cost.
The expo was hosted on TheEdgeProperty.com’s (the previous name of EdgeProp.my) site over 11 days from July 21, 2017.
In conjunction with VPEX 2017, the portal’s Facebook page also went live, featuring chats with property CEOs, prominent personalities such as Feng Shui consultant Datuk Joey Yap, international model Amber Chia, The Luxe Nomad founder Stephanie Chai, TV host and fashion entrepreneur Shalma Ainaa, popular blogger and entrepreneur Timothy Tiah, and lawyer Chris Tan.
The MARKies Awards evaluates campaigns by focusing on either creative ideas or the innovative use of media, providing Malaysian agencies a platform to showcase unique and deserving works of brilliance.
Into its ninth year, the awards are open to all agencies and voted by senior client-marketers only.
The highly-competitive awards have drawn a record number of submissions this year. The award ceremony and gala dinner will be held on May 18.
Meanwhile, the overall winners will receive the Overall Creative Ideas MARKie and Overall Media Usage MARKie awards.
