KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 8): Mitrajaya Holdings Bhd’s wholly-owned unit has won two construction projects in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor for a combined contract sum of RM377.45 million.

Under the first contract, Mitrajaya said, Pembinaan Mitrajaya Sdn Bhd will undertake the construction of an academic building and a car park for a higher learning institution in Kuala Lumpur for RM333.55 million.

The two-year contract will commence on Sept 15, Mitrajaya said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

In a separate filing, Mitrajaya said Pembinaan Mitrajaya has been awarded a contract by Gema Padu Sdn Bhd to develop affordable housing under the Rumah Selangorku scheme for RM43.91 million.

The project comprises three blocks of apartment residences, which will house 338 units with built-up sizes ranging from 750 to 900 sq ft, in Kota Warisan, Sepang.

This contract, said Mitrajaya, is for a duration of 36 months ending August 2020.

Mitrajaya’s share price rose two sen or 1.85% to RM1.10 yesterday, giving it a market capitalisation of RM757.78 million.
