KUALA LUMPUR (June 29): Kumpulan Jetson Bhd (KJB)'s wholly-owned unit Jetson Construction Sdn Bhd has accepted a RM919.3 million subcontract job from MCC Overseas (M) Sdn Bhd to undertake main building works for a mixed commercial project on Jalan Conlay here.

"The project is expected to contribute positively to KJB and its subsidiaries' earnings for financial years ending Dec 31, 2017 to 2021. The project will not have any effect on the group's share capital and shareholding structure," KJB said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

The cost is broken down into two parts: building works, which cost RM336.7 million, and RM582.7 million as prime cost and provisional sum.

The work for the mixed commercial project under Package B involves demolition and site works, architectural works to basement, podium structural works, elevated carpark, retails, Tower B, sky bridges and facilities floor, external works, and hard landscaping works.

The project features a five-floor basement, a 10-storey podium, and three tower blocks comprising Menara A (61 storeys), Menara B (56 storeys), and Menara C (72-storey hotel and strata hotel suites).

At 12.30pm, KJB's share price surged to a two-year high, up 3.5 sen or 7.87% at 48 sen with 9.4 million shares traded for a market capitalisation of RM96.9 million. — theedgemarkets.com
