The refurbishment continues! On a slightly overcast Saturday morning on Sept 5, some 12 community volunteers from Perumahan Awam Seri Kedah or Flat Seri Kedah public housing scheme here in Gombak Setia, Kuala Lumpur rolled up their sleeves to begin refurbishment works on their outdoor sports court.
PETALING JAYA: What’s the point of having facilities that are wasting away and no longer able to serve their full purpose? Outdoor recreational spaces for the community, especially children and youths, are aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and even to nurture sports talent, hence it would be a shame if such facilities become eyesores instead.
PUTRAJAYA (Feb 18): The Housing and Local Government Ministry will set up a fund for those who want to contribute to programmes and activities under the Dasar Komuniti Negara (DKN) or the National Community Policy to enhance the lives of the B40 community.

The refurbishment of the outdoor sports court of PPR Seri Cempaka is gaining traction with an increasing number of volunteers participating in the painting works.
KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 20): The outdoor sports court of PPR Seri Cempaka public housing scheme in Pantai Dalam, Kuala Lumpur has been patched up and ready for a colourful paint makeover next week! The refurbishment which is under the Sayangi Rumahku campaign, also saw the court being extended by some 20ft to accommodate a futsal and badminton court in addition to the existing netball court.
