LBS Bina's second proposal is to provide incentives for the adoption of the industrialised building system (IBS) precast system for developers that incorporate the system into their housing projects, as this can help reduce construction costs and make housing more accessible.

The building and engineering products and services promoted include the industrialised building system (IBS), building information modelling (BIM), formwork system, advanced building materials, equipment and machinery and other related construction technologies.

The usage of IBS in Rumah Idaman Cahaya, similar to other Rumah Idaman projects undertaken by MGB, contributes to its affordability due to reduced dependence on labour, an ability to optimise cost as well as increase and maintain the quality of the units.

To ensure sustainable growth of the construction industry, MBAM president Oliver Wee Hiang Chyn hopes the government will use its development budget to boost the adoption of the Industrialised Building System (IBS) and implement planned public projects, such as affordable housing.
