Malaysia’s short-term rental accommodation (STRA) industry requires “fair and balanced” regulations to ensure its growth is not stifled while addressing concerns raised by traditional hotel operators, according to Airbnb.
Sabah-based Azam Jaya Bhd (KL:AZAMJAYA) ended its debut on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia on Monday with a closing price of RM1.09, a 39.74% or 31 sen rise from its initial public offering price (IPO) of 78 sen.
The company expects Sabah to remain as its core market, adding that “there is a lot more to do".
At its last price, the company had a market capitalisation of RM540 million.
