Malaysia logged 1,575 new Covid-19 cases today, marking the seventh straight day that daily infections have stayed below the 2,000 mark.

Daily recoveries, on the other hand, continued to exceed fresh infections at 2,042, which further trimmed the number of active cases

Today’s figure is however higher by 199 cases compared with the 1,448 infections reported yesterday, and brought the country’s cumulative confirmed infections to 319,364.

The construction engineering group said the contracts were awarded to its wholly-owned subsidiary Vizione Builder Sdn Bhd.

Selangor, which reported 561 new infections, again reported the highest number of new cases.

Executive director Chan Chee Wing: This development is to cater for existing huge demand for such facilities. Free trade zones have proven to be one of the best catalysts of regional economic development.

This is also the fourth straight day that new infections stay below the 2,000 level.

Selangor registered 726 new cases, followed by Johor at 120.

The acquisition is in line with its objective of acquiring strategic stakes in companies with potential for future growth.
