KUALA LUMPUR: Sunrise Bhd is expecting to extend TIME’s fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) broadband service with speeds of up to 50Mbps to all its properties in Mont’Kiara and Dutamas in Kuala Lumpur, including the mixed-use development Solaris Dutamas by year-end.
Eleven properties, including Plaza Mont’Kiara, Solaris Mont’Kiara, Mont’Kiara Pines and 10 Mont’Kiara, currently enjoy Malaysia’s first 100% FTTH connection by TIME Fibre Broadband.
TIME FTTH broadband is a broadband service offered by TIME dotCom Bhd, an integrated communications solutions provider.
Speaking at the launch ceremony on Friday, Oct 1, Anne Tong, Sunrise assistant general manager of Branding and Community Development, said residents can now enjoy this service either at the Sunrise Fun Zone Community Centre on a complimentary basis or in the comfort of their homes, upon subscription.
“By providing a reliable and superior broadband service, we are able to enhance the community centre’s superb facilities and add on to the many exclusive privileges currently enjoyed by our residents,” said Tong.
The deployment of the TIME’s FTTH broadband service makes Sunrise the first developer in Malaysia to provide the fastest and most reliable broadband communication for its exclusive enclave of residential and commercial development.
Sunrise also launched its “Sunrise Win an iPad” online contest on its community portal “Life@Sunrise Mont’ Kiara", which is open to all. Prizes consisting of five iPads and 30 consolation prizes valued at over RM27,000 will be given out to the winners. To participate, log on to www.montkiara.com.my.
