PETALING JAYA (May 5): Mah Sing Group Bhd won three awards at the 5th Asian Excellence Award 2015 held on April 10 in Hong Kong. It took top spot for Best Investor Relations Company (Malaysia), Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Best CEO (Investor Relations).
The company bagged the first two awards while its group managing director and chief executive Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum was awarded the prize for Best CEO (Investor Relations).
This marks the third consecutive win for Mah Sing in the Best CEO (Investor Relations) and Best Investor Relations Company (Malaysia) categories. It was the first time that the company won the award for Best CSR.
The 5th Asian Excellence Award is meant to recognise excellence in investor communications, business ethics, CSR, environmental practices and financial performance. The awards criteria are based on data submitted by the companies and interviews conducted with their investors.
The awards are organised annually by Corporate Governance Asia, a business journal based in Hong Kong that provides news and analysis on corporate governance issues, boardroom performance and shareholder activism.
