KUALA LUMPUR: IOI Properties Group Bhd and Starwood Hotels and Resort have opened Klang Valley's first Four Points by Sheraton in Puchong. It is the fifth hotel in Malaysia and is located in the third tower of Puchong Financial Corporate Centre.
"We are delighted to debut Four Points by Sheraton Puchong in the fast growing district of Puchong following the success of the brand in Langkawi, Sandakan, Kuching, and Penang," said Southeast Asia's regional vice president of Starwood Hotels and Resorts Chuck Abbott said during the hotel debut on Monday.
"As the fifth Four Points by Sheraton property in Malaysia, the brand will enable us to cater to the growing middle class and the increased number of business and leisure travellers in the market."
Four Points by Sheraton Puchong features 249 contemporary rooms. The hotel also has 12 executive suites that provide a separate living room and pantry, which are ideal for families and long stay travellers.
The hotel features its brand's signature restaurant, The Eatery, which serves wholesome cuisine with delicious spreads of local and international palate as well as Lobby Lounge where guests can have selection of worldly collection of beers.
Other facilities provided by the hotel are complimentary high speed internet throughout the premises, a fitness centre and an outdoor swimming pool, and meeting rooms.

"We are sure the introduction of the Four Points by Sheraton brand will elevate the service levels of the surrounding areas to meet international standards and will attract key local and international corporations into Puchong Financial Corporate Centre, located in the matured township of Bandar Puteri Puchong."
Lee adds that Puchong has many amenities offered except an international hotel hence the Four Points by Sheraton is a good presence that will be able to provide comfortable and stylish travelling to accommodate both business and leisure, given that the hotel is supported by office spaces.
To date, Starwood currently operates 12 hotels in Malaysia's key destinations such as Langkawi, Penang, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Kuching, and the Klang Valley. The group is also expecting six more hotels in the pipeline to be opened in 2015 and 2017. These hotels include the St Regis in Langkawi and Kuala Lumpur, the W Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Sheraton Petaling Jaya, The Westin in Desaru, and the Le Meridien in Putrajaya.
The six out of nine Starwood brands that are represented in Malaysia include Aloft, Four Points by Sheraton, Le Meridien, Sheraton, The Luxury Collection, and Westin.
