PETALING JAYA: Glomac Bhd is moving ahead with two of its commercial projects -- one in Mutiara Damansara and the other at the old Kelana Seafood Centre site, both in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. It is also looking to sell the projects on an en bloc basis.

Fara Eliza Mansor, senior manager of group corporate communications tells theeedgeproperty.com that the planning approval for the Mutiara Damansara development was submitted just before the Hari Raya holidays. The two plots of land totalling three acres were acquired at an average rate of RM335 per sq ft and the proposed development will consist of a 10-storey office block with a gross floor area (GFA) of approximately 165,000 sq ft and another 18-storey office tower with GFA of approximately 210,000 sq ft.

The office tower is expected to be sold on an en bloc basis.
Glomac plans to launch the development with an expected gross development value (GDV) of RM250 million early next year.

As for the 3.3 acre-plot in Kelana Jaya, the development order has been received and plans are in place to build a commercial development with an estimated GDV of RM300 million comprising a 16-storey office tower with a GFA of approximately 157,000 sq ft, a 3-storey retail block and two blocks of 5 to 10-storey office suites with GFA of approximately 186,000 sq ft per block.

The company is currently in the midst of discussions with a potential buyer to purchase the entire development en bloc. The land was purchased last year.
