HONG KONG: The international real estate services company Colliers International has secured the second spot on the annual Lipsey Survey which ranks the top 25 brands in the commercial real estate industry.

Training and consulting firm The Lipsey Company spoke with over 50,000 practitioners and industry leaders in REITs, institutions, mortage bankers, commercial brokers, asset managers, property managers and related professionals for the survey. Colliers International has been in third spot since 2004 having risen from fourth position in 2003.

“We have risen in the rankings largely due to our best-in-class service and the high quality service offerings that we provide around the world,” shared Douglas P. Frye, chairman and CEO of Colliers International in a statement on Friday March 12.

“We are in the process of integrating some of the top names in commercial real estate under the Colliers International brand including FirstService Williams, FirstService PGP Valuation and PKF Hospitality and Hotel Consulting which will mark the beginning of our final step to the summit in this survey and in the minds of our clients.”

Earlier this year Colliers International announced it will combine operations and global real estate services platforms with FirstService Corporation, where its subsidiary FirstService Real Estate Advisors, is the fastest growing and the third largest commercial real estate services firm in the world operating in 41 countries.

This combined entity will result in an industry-unique operating and partnership model under the Colliers International brand.
