AMPANG JAYA, Selangor (Nov 24): There is a common misconception on feng shui, whereby people think that wearing certain colours or changing the interior decoration of their premises will help to produce good feng shui, notes feng shui practitioner Datuk Joey Yap.
“Feng shui is not about items. It is about the natural land form created by mother nature. It (feng shui) is the study of land or resonance.
“In other words, it’s all about location, location, location,” he told the media after a feng shui assessment of Tijani Ukay in Ukay Perdana, Selangor for his students today.
Yap, who is the founder and chief consultant of Joey Yap Consulting Group Sdn Bhd said he has chosen Tijani Ukay as one of the assessment sites for the final graduating module of the Feng Shui Series for his students because of the project’s unique location.
“Tijani Ukay is surrounded by mountains, water and meridian spots, which makes it a good place for feng shui practitioners to see and learn,” he said.
He added that Tijani Ukay “have the features that can produce good feng shui”, emphasising that interior decorations of a home have nothing to do with feng shui.
“That’s a misconception where people think that colours or interior decorations will help to better the feng shui but it will not work because these things are not natural,” explained Yap.
Meanwhile, Symphony Life Bhd COO Stewart Tew said 80% of the Tijani Ukay project has been sold.
With a gross development value (GDV) of RM350 million, the 23-acre project was launched in Dec 2012 and completed in Sept 2015. It features 118 bungalows, 110 of which are zero-lot homes. Built-ups range from 3,778 sq ft to 4,916 sq ft while prices are from RM2.8 million.
Tew said other ongoing projects by Symphony Life include TWY @ Mont’Kiara, comprising 484 units of duplex condos. It has achieved a take-up rate of 95% while Elevia Residences at Taman Tasik Prima, Puchong has seen 70% of the 162 leasehold condo units sold.
He added that 40% of the developer’s joint venture with the Kelantan state government, Tijani Raja Dewa project in Kota Bahru, has been taken up since its launch in 2015.
