KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 4): Binastra Corporation Bhd (KL:BNASTRA) has secured a contract worth RM188.5 million for work at a data centre in Cyberjaya, Selangor.

The scope of work includes mechanical and electrical fit-out for the data centre, along with a guard house and a refuse room, according to an exchange filing. The contract is expected to be completed within four months from the confirmed date of site possession.

“We are honoured by the continued trust and confidence from our client, which reaffirms Binastra’s growing reputation in supporting Malaysia’s digital infrastructure ecosystem,” Binastra managing director Datuk Jackson Tan Kak Seng said in a separate statement.

Binastra is already working to complete the core and shell works for the six-storey data centre for AIMS Data Centre. The latest job would be the company’s fifth data centre-related contracts, bringing the total value in the segment to RM1.4 billion.

Including the latest award, Binastra has secured RM2.0 billion worth of new contracts year to date, expanding its total outstanding jobs on hand to RM4.7 billion.
