• ICW & BuildXpo 2025 aims to bring together professionals, innovators, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and students, positioning Malaysia as a hub for regional collaboration and innovation in shaping ASEAN’s built environment.

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 23): The International Construction Week (ICW) and BuildXpo 2025 will feature more than 350 exhibition booths, highlighting innovations in construction technology, equipment, and solutions.

The event, themed “Constructing the Future of ASEAN”, will take place from Oct 28 to 30, at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec).

Serving as the anchor construction industry platform during Malaysia’s ASEAN 2025 Chairmanship, the event aims to strengthen regional collaboration and promote sustainable growth within the sector, said engineering, property, and infrastructure group Gamuda Bhd in a statement on Thursday,

Gamuda’s partnership underscores the alignment between the group’s vision for digitalised and sustainable construction and the objectives of ICW & BuildXpo to foster greater industry cooperation across Malaysia and ASEAN, the statement read.

Jointly organised by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia and Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn Bhd, BuildXpo—the Malaysia International Building and Construction Industry Showcase—serves as ICW’s official trade exhibition.

While BuildXpo functions as a business-to-business platform connecting industry players, showcasing new technologies, materials, and sustainable practices, ICW focuses on conferences and knowledge-sharing.

Key conferences will include the International Construction Transformation Conference (ICTC), Digital Construction Summit (DCS), and Women in Building Malaysia (WIBM) Roundtable.

In addition, the International Sourcing Programme, co-organised with the Malaysia External Trade Development Corp (Matrade), will link Malaysian exhibitors with global buyers, while a series of youth and skills competitions—including the QUEST Award 2025, National Crane Competition, and MSSA Open Ideas Competition—will spotlight emerging talent in the construction industry.
