- The Setia4Malaysia Unity Run 2025 attracted nearly 1,000 runners who gathered at dawn to participate in three race categories: the 3km family run, the 10km challenge, and the 21km half marathon.
SHAH ALAM (Sept 18): S P Setia Bhd attracted over 2,500 participants to its Setia4Malaysia Unity Run 2025 on Sept 7 and the Setia4Malaysia Unity Fest 2025 on Sept 6 and 7.
The unity run was held at Setia Fontaines in Penang while unity fests were held across selected flagship townships all the way to Vietnam and Australia in conjunction with Merdeka Day and Malaysia Day.
“We are delighted to share the success of the Setia4Malaysia Unity Run 2025 at our flagship township Setia Fontaines, Penang, which has witnessed a positive turnout of runners and visitors at this next hotspot in the northern region.”
“We have achieved several firsts and milestones this year, not only with our vibrant Unity Run, but also with the hosting of the Setia4Malaysia Unity Fest events inaugurally across our selected flagship developments such as Setia Bayuemas, Setia Alamsari, KL Eco City, Setia AlamImpian, Setia Eco Glades, Setia Warisan Tropika, and internationally in Setia Vietnam and Setia Melbourne,” said executive vice president and chief commercial officer, Christinne Lim.
“The unique cultural experiences such as live t-shirt printing, DIY Merdeka kite-making, batik canting, henna art, face painting, traditional games, blind box giveaways, and Malaysian delicacies were some of the key highlights. It fills us with joy to see our communities embrace this event with full energy and Malaysian spirit. We hope this will continue to be inculcated across our developments in the long-term,” she added.

The flag-off started at 5 am, which was followed by a bustling bazaar that ran until 1pm. Beyond the races and festivities, the event rewarded winners of the 10km and 21km categories with cash prizes, while 21km finishers earned exclusive medals and jerseys.
Meanwhile, the Setia4Malaysia Unity Fest has drawn 1,600 participants across the other flagship townships including Setia Eco Gardens, Setia Bayuemas, Setia Alamsari, KL Eco City, Setia AlamImpian, Setia Eco Glades and Setia Warisan Tropika. The festivities continued globally, with participations from Setia Vietnam and Setia Melbourne.
Highlights included Picnic in the Park and a live satay and cendol station at Setia Eco Gardens; a dynamic Roti Terbang performance, batik canting and classic games at Setia Bayuemas; and unique cultural experiences such as multicultural drum performances, aerobic sessions, wau-making and mug painting across other townships.
In Setia Vietnam, the flagship township has attracted up to 300 participants with loads of fun activities, while in Setia Australia, participants were served with a mouthwatering Malaysian buffet, and were entertained by traditional games, Malaysian-themed music and dances with collaboration by the Malaysian Students Association in Melbourne.
Separately, on Aug 31, the Battersea Power Station saw the lighting ofthe chimneys of Battersea Power Station to mark Malaysia Independence Day, and again in September for Malaysia Day.
