KUALA LUMPUR (May 23): Builder Mitrajaya Holdings Bhd's (KL:MITRA) wholly owned subsidiary Pembinaan Mitrajaya Sdn Bhd has bagged a RM70 million contract to construct an eight-storey serviced apartment, which will be used as training centre and staff recreational facilities, in Langkawi, Kedah.

The client’s name was not disclosed, Mitrajaya said in a bourse filing on Friday, citing compliance with a non-disclosure agreement.

The contract is for a duration of 24 months from the site possession date, which is expected to be at the end of June.

Mitrajaya said the contract is anticipated to positively impact the group's earnings and net assets for the financial years ending Dec 31, 2025 and 2026.

As of end-2024, the group had an outstanding order book of RM1.02 billion.

Shares of Mitrajaya closed unchanged at 31.5 sen on Friday, giving it a market capitalisation of RM244.49 million. The stock has fallen 8.7% year to date.
