KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 28): Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd (KL:MATRIX) and X Park Malaysia have formalised a partnership to develop an extreme sports park in Bandar Seri Impian in Kluang, Johor, with a RM10 million investment aimed at enhancing the township’s recreational appeal.

In a statement on Friday, Matrix Concepts’ property development division co-chief executive officer Chai Keng Wai said, “This collaboration with X Park aligns seamlessly with our vision to create a holistic and dynamic living environment in Bandar Seri Impian.

“The addition of this unique attraction will elevate the township’s appeal and provide residents with an exciting new recreational experience. With Matrix Concepts investing RM10 million in its construction, we remain committed to enriching the community with vibrant and engaging spaces,” he added.

X Park Bandar Seri Impian will feature a range of extreme sports and leisure activities, including a go-kart track, ATV rides, a golf driving range, badminton and pickleball courts, rock climbing, archery, cafés and pro shops. The project marks the second collaboration between Matrix Concepts and X Park, following the X Park in Bandar Sri Sendayan, Seremban.

“Designed to offer an unparalleled experience in extreme sports and outdoor recreation, X Park will provide a dynamic space where families and thrill-seekers can come together to create unforgettable memories,” said X Park Malaysia managing director Rocky Siow.

“This partnership aligns seamlessly with Bandar Seri Impian’s vision of fostering a vibrant, family-centric community. Beyond delivering exhilarating entertainment, X Park will enhance the township’s lifestyle and recreational offerings, providing residents and visitors with diverse activities that promote active and social living,” Siow added.

In addition to the sports park, the statement also highlighted Matrix Concepts’ plans to launch Bandar Seri Impian 2, a 309.51-acre expansion of Bandar Seri Impian, in 1Q2026, with an estimated gross development value (GDV) of RM1.56 billion.

The developer also has plans to launch residential and commercial developments in Bandar Seri Impian in 3Q and 4Q this year. Including Bandar Seri Impian 2, the entire Bandar Seri Impian township will span a total of 1,210 acres and have a total combined GDV of RM3.56 billion, it added.

Kluang MP Wong Shu Qi said in the statement, “Bandar Seri Impian is becoming a key driver of economic and community growth in the region, and we fully support initiatives that uplift local communities and enhance livability.”

The statement added that the proposed Pasir Gudang Highway interchange located within Bandar Seri Impian, as well as the completion of the Electric Train Service (ETS) extension from Gemas to Johor Bahru Sentral and the Rapid Transit System (RTS) to Singapore this year, will enhance the area’s connectivity and accessibility.
