- Automated external defibrillators (AEDs), vital for aiding cardiac arrest victims, allow untrained individuals to administer life-saving electrical shocks to terminate abnormal heart rhythms for victims while waiting for the ambulance or medical help to arrive, significantly boosting survival rates when paired with cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 19): Trinity Group is equipping five of its flagship developments with automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and mobility-assistance equipment to enhance resident safety and as part of its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives.
In a press release issued Dec 19, the developer said that this initiative addresses the rising need for residential safety tools in the face of demographic shifts, including an ageing population.
The targeted developments are Trinity Lemanja in Kepong, Zeva @ Equine South in Seri Kembangan, Trinity Aquata in Sungai Besi, Trinity Pentamont in Mont'Kiara and Trinity Wellnessa in Ampang, and will benefit approximately 11,000 residents. The equipment provided include AEDs, wheelchairs and stretchers, to ensure immediate support during critical emergencies.
AEDs, vital for aiding cardiac arrest victims, allow untrained individuals to administer life-saving electrical shocks to terminate abnormal heart rhythms for victims while waiting for the ambulance or medical help to arrive, significantly boosting survival rates when paired with cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
In the statement, Trinity Group founder and managing director Datuk Neoh Soo Keat said, "This initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to community health and safety. By installing AEDs and providing mobility equipment, we are going beyond the usual fire safety measures and creating a more secure environment for all residents."
The developer has invested approximately RM40,000 in this project.
The life-saving equipment for Trinity Lemanja, Zeva @ Equine South, Trinity Aquata and Trinity Pentamont have been handed over to their respective joint management bodies (JMBs). As for Trinity Wellnessa, the equipment will be handed over once the property's JMB is formed, as the project nears completion, the statement said.
Trinity Group also advocates for broader adoption of AEDs in residential developments, echoing the government’s mandate for their compulsory installation in government buildings and public facilities from 2025.
"Trinity Group applauds the government’s move to make AEDs mandatory at public areas. On top of this, we firmly believe that AEDs should be compulsory in residential areas and all living spaces also," Neoh added.
