KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 9): The Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia appointed Zainora Zainal (pictured) as its new chief executive officer (CEO), succeeding Datuk Mohd Zaid Zakaria, who retired on Nov 28.

According to a press statement issued on Monday, Zainora has been with CIDB for 26 years and has held various positions, including senior general manager of the technology development sector, CIDB Kuala Lumpur director, and general manager of the business environment and international divisions. Her most recent position was deputy CEO II (development).

In addition, she is a member of a committee that oversees the development of policies, programmes, and standards related to the construction industry.
