KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 2): The recently soft-launched Elmina Lakeside Mall attracted over 180,000 patrons throughout its opening week from Aug 22 to 29.

Situated in the heart of Elmina City Centre in Shah Alam, Selangor, the mall has achieved over 98% tenancy with Jaya Grocer and Harvey Norman serving as anchor tenants. Elmina Lakeside Mall is Sime Darby Property Bhd's (KL:SIMEPROP) second wholly owned mall after KL East Mall.

"Elmina Lakeside Mall represents a new chapter in retail experiences. Bringing together a synthesis of nature-inspired elements with modern amenities, we are shaping a vibrant lifestyle hub for residents and visitors alike. This mall embodies our vision of creating sustainable communities that cater to the evolving needs of modern, eco-conscious consumers," said Sime Darby Property chief operating officer of township development Appollo Leong in a media statement on Monday.

Featuring 214,000 sq ft of retail space, the single-level mall utilises an open-concept design that integrates with the lush greenery and allows ample natural lighting. The nature-inspired concept is further complemented by its proximity to the 35-acre (14.16-hectare) Elmina Urban Park and a lake.

The mall offers a selection of over 100 stores and services, including dining options such as Kenny Hills Bakers, Sushi Zanmai, Dolly Dim Sum, Jibby Chow, Ole Ole Bali, CHAGEE and Inside Scoop, among many others.
