KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 8): Eastern & Oriental Bhd (KL:E&O) has launched its latest luxury apartment development named The Lume on its 760-acre Andaman Island master plan development in Penang on Thursday, according to a press statement.

The Lume is part of the first phase of the master plan, which is 253 acres and is divided into three districts, namely Shoreline, where The Lume is situated; Gurney Green, and Canalside. The statement added that all three districts will have the concept of a 15-minute city, supporting pedestrian-friendly neighbourhoods with access to essential amenities and green spaces.

Spanning 3.16 acres, The Lume comprises 261 units in a 50-storey tower, with built-ups ranging from 1,722 sq ft to 2,874 sq ft, and selling prices from RM2.2 million. The project has a gross development value of RM689 million.

In the statement, E&O managing director Kok Tuck Cheong said, “The Lume embodies the art of sophisticated living, with each exclusive residence crafted to ensure privacy while fostering a sense of community. This makes The Lume an ideal choice for those seeking a balanced work-life-play environment”.

Facilities at the Lume include landscaped pools, lounges, barbecue spaces, playgrounds, a wading pool, co-working spaces, meeting rooms and function areas. The development also features pet-friendly spaces.

Additionally, the statement also highlighted that The Lume was conferred a GreenRE Platinum certification, as the development integrates environmentally responsible practices to minimise its carbon footprint, while providing communal spaces for socialising and wellness activities.

In terms of connectivity, residents of Andaman Island will be able to access the two bridges linked to Penang Island.

“This development establishes a new benchmark for future living spaces on Andaman Island, where innovation, well-being, and harmonious living are intertwined, reflecting our enduring commitment to meet and exceed the evolving aspirations of our residents”, Kok said.
