RM100 million allocated for MoneyX development, superapp also forms strategic partnership with EdgeProp

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 25): Hextar Technologies Solutions Bhd (HexTech) launched MoneyX, a one-stop fintech mobile superapp with artificial intelligence (Al) supported tools today. The app was first released by HexTech's 100%-owned fintech unit Hextar Vision Sdn Bhd (Hextar Vision) in September 2023.

“MoneyX is a game-changer to manage a user's finances, tackle unorganised financial management, and simplify saturated and confusing financial products, while providing quick access to finance-related tools in the market,” said HexTech group chief executive officer/executive director Datuk Eddie Ong Choo Meng.

He added that HexTech’s vision for MoneyX is to become the leading fintech company in Malaysia in three years before going global. With RM100 million allocated to build and promote MoneyX, they are committed to making this vision a reality.

In conjunction with the soft launch, Hextar Vision also unveiled partnership with more than 14 partners to aggregate their services on MoneyX, with EdgeProp being one of them.

We aggregate all of our partners' products onto our platform to better serve our clients,” revealed Eddie.

Besides promoting financial literacy and management, MoneyX also comes with a secure digital vault where users can conveniently store important documents, from driving licence to bills, insurance policies and agreements, ensuring easy access and organisation. In addition, users have the option to use the app’s reminder/ notification feature to alert them on upcoming payments or renewal deadlines.

HexTech's chairman Tan Sri Muhammad Ibrahim said MoneyX represents the group's commitment to transforming the fintech industry's approach towards Al-assisted financial management, while ensuring that the adoption of this technology benefits average Malaysians.

With up to one million users targeted to adopt MoneyX as their financial information management platform in the next one year, Hextar Vision is gearing towards enhancing the in-house mobile app with a full integration with all key potential features by end-2024.

MoneyX is currently available for download on Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
