KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 17): AFZ Realty Sdn Bhd is striving to widen its exposure to the Malaysian property market, and with this in mind, it has inked a collaboration deal with EdgeProp.

“We have been doing well, but we feel we can do more to increase our exposure to the local property market,” said AFZ Realty founder and managing director Afizan Mohktar.

“And this is where EdgeProp comes in. We have learnt about how capable the portal is and the platform and tools that come with it. That is why we have decided to work with EdgeProp. It will be a stepping stone to increase our visibility,” he added.

One of the main beneficiaries of this AFZ Realty-EdgeProp link up will be of course the real estate agents and negotiators of the former.

“Our agents will really enjoy a lot of benefits from EdgeProp, especially the platform for us to list the properties and also the other powerful tools that can provide ‘intelligence’ on how and where and what to concentrate on,” said Afizan.

As a result, clients of AFZ Realty will also reap benefits from such capabilities.

“It will make it so easy for our clients to sell or to buy properties with the platform provided by EdgeProp.”

Meanwhile, Afizan also views EdgeProp as a superb learning tool to enhance knowledge about the local property market. Being a bumiputera company, Afizan wants the community to be better well-versed with the real estate industry.

“It is actually quite challenging to educate the bumiputera segment about the real estate or property market. And I think EdgeProp can help us in this, because besides all the tools and platform, it also has a news and editorial segment, from which our clients and also agents can learn about the latest happenings in the property and real estate world,” Afizan explained.

EdgeProp has in recent months been running Malay versions of its English news, especially those that have an impact on the bumiputera segment.

“We aspire to have a long-term relationship with EdgeProp as we believe we can conquer the Malaysian real estate industry together,” Afizan said.

AFZ Realty is based at Seri Kembangan, Selangor, and offers services such as estate agency, real estate valuation and property management.

EdgeProp business development head Nimalen Parimalam said the portal has recently been reaching out to more bumiputera real estate companies to develop the market.

“AFZ Realty is a significant company among the bumiputera real estate firms and we are very glad to have inked this collaboration with it,” he said.

“EdgeProp is cognisant of the government’s goal of not just advancing and boosting the local real estate market, but also to increase bumiputera involvement in it, and we can do it via our powerful tools,” he added.
