The ERA’s RainTreeRain to get The Food Merchant as anchor tenant

KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 3): Boutique retail boulevard RainTreeRain will soon have premium grocer The Food Merchant as an anchor tenant.

RainTreeRain is part of JKG Land’s flagship mixed commercial development The ERA @ Duta North in the Klang Valley.

It will have a retail area of 277,000 sq ft, with a three-level boulevard featuring “lush avenues of sprawling landscaped greenery bringing refreshing new ways to chill out, dine and shop”, stated a media release by JKG Land.

“With the arrival of The Food Merchant at RainTreeRain as one of our anchor tenants, we are positive that residents of The ERA and in the vicinity shall experience a breath of fresh air while being able to discover global cultures in grocery shopping,” said managing director of JKG Land, Datuk Teh Kean Ming at the signing ceremony today welcoming The Food Merchant to RainTreeRain.

The grocer (slated to be opened in December 2022) will occupy 25,000 sq ft on the lower ground floor of RainTreeRain and this outlet will be its 5th in Malaysia. 

The Food Merchant “is inspired and established by family members who brought success to the Village Grocer chain with over 25 years of industry experience”, said JKG Land.

Other notable retail brands that inked their intentions to be at RainTreeRain are Dai Cha Dim, A Plus Medical Clinic, LN Fortunate Coffee, Salad Atelier and Herbal Tea.

“RainTreeRain is the ideal place for startups and trendsetters to showcase new ideas and creative retail and F&B offerings.

“It provides an inviting ambiance with an eclectic mix of lifestyle choices and from anchor tenant spaces, standard layouts, and buzz boxes, to the smallest kiosks, there is a space for every innovative endeavour,” said Teh.

“We are much thrilled to welcome our panel of new retail partners to RainTreeRain and we believe that residents will enjoy the offerings by these retailers.

“This is just the beginning of our goal to elevate the retail landscape and inspire a bold rejuvenation to Jalan Segambut’s dated industrial neighbourhood,” he added.

Meanwhile, in conjunction with Merdeka and Malaysia Day, JKG Central Park Sdn Bhd has launched a new limited-time promotional package for their Phase 2, service apartments at The ERA @ Duta North.

Spanning two towers, Phase 2 comprises 956 service apartment units with standard built-ups ranging from 645 to 1,334 sq ft. Prices start from RM490,900.

Phase 1 of The ERA @ Duta North has already been fully snapped up and is now in the midst of handover.
