KUALA LUMPUR (April 7): TAFI Industries Bhd has secured a contract for the construction of a single-storey factory and warehouse together with a two-storey office building in Kuala Langat, Selangor.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the RM9.5 million contract was awarded to its subsidiary TAFI Home & Office Sdn Bhd by Alpha Asset Sdn Bhd.

TAFI Group CEO Datuk Seri Bryan Wong said the 12-month contract is a testament to the group’s achievements and shared that its construction business is progressing well.

“We will continue to leverage on TAFI Home & Office’s G7 licence issued by the Construction Industry Development Board  which allows it to tender for construction projects of unlimited value to tender for higher value construction contracts from both the private sector and also government sector to further grow our revenue stream from construction contracts,” Wong said.

Shares in TAFI Industries closed 1.5 sen or 2.03% lower at 72 sen on Wednesday, valuing the group at RM273.2 million.
