KUALA LUMPUR (March 3): Advancecon Holdings Bhd said yesterday it has been appointed a subcontractor for ground treatment works for Section 4 of the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project for RM14.6 million.

In a filing yesterday, Advancecon said its wholly-owned unit Advancecon Infra Sdn Bhd (AISB) has accepted the Letter of Acceptance from China Communications Construction (ECRL) Sdn Bhd for the appointment.

AISB is principally involved in the business of providing earthworks and civil engineering services, it said. It is the second ECRL subcontract announced by AISB this year, and the fourth one since September 2020.

Shares of Advancecon slid 1.5 sen or 3.75% to close at 38.5 sen yesterday, giving it a market capitalisation of RM156.02 million.
