KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 6): The National Security Council (NSC) has decided to “lift” the "20 people per home" limit rule for the Chinese New Year celebrations, which include reunion dinners, Malaysiakini reported on new standard operating procedures (SOPs) released yesterday.

Even though the limit has been removed, the NSC has clarified that all celebrations are still confined to people living under the same roof.

"The family reunion dinner is only allowed for the family members of the same household at their house," the NSC stated.

The new ruling will be for Feb 11, 12 and 19, compared to Feb 12 and 13 in an SOP released earlier.
