PETALING JAYA (Aug 10): Those quarantined at public training centres will now only have to pay RM100 a day, after the government decided to reduce the daily rates by RM50, reported FMT today.

This is following public complaints that the charges of the public training centres shouldn't be the same as hotel, said Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

“The facilities at these training institutes are not as good at the ones at hotels. So upon reviewing the matter, we decided to reduce the rate by RM50,” he said.

Ismail also noted that the government has decided to waive the fees for those from B-40 families.
