KUALA LUMPUR (July 27): Three subsidiaries under UEM Group Berhad, namely PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS), UEM Edgenta Berhad and UEM Sunrise Berhad have unified the process of their Procurement, Finance and Human Resource (HR) divisions and operations in Malaysia through the adoption of cloud computing service.

In a press statement today, Oracle said UEM Sunrise, PLUS and UEM Edgenta are using Oracle Cloud computing services to gain better control and a clear overview of key functions.

UEM Group managing director Datuk Mohd Izani Ghani (pictured) said the group has embarked on the digital revolution journey to revolutionise their technological capabilities and enhance the company's ability to respond quickly to market changes

He added that UEM Sunrise and UEM Edgenta will no doubt benefit from cloud computing technology with improved business processes, productivity and performance with less disruption, all of which will allow us to stay ahead in a highly competitive business environment.

He noted that UEM Edgenta is already benefiting from the cloud computing technology, as with enhanced financial visibility and efficiency, its finance department is able to save almost 50% business time to close its books every month.
