KUALA LUMPUR (April 7): Residents at Parc Regency Serviced Apartment, Johor Bahru have come up with "no-touch" tips in an effort to prevent the COVID-19 virus in their apartment project.
In a community page on Facebook, a voluntary group made up of residents has shared tips such as ways to avoid using door handles in common areas complete with a video demonstrating how that can be done -- by using the foot to pull the door open after using his access card.
A member of the group had also told Sinchew Daily that temporary “pedals” have been installed at the bottom of the door of the apartment’s parking lot to enable residents to use their feet to open the door. As a lift is considered a high-risk area, toothpicks are provided for residents to press lift buttons.
Furthermore, tables on the ground floor have been prepared for food delivery and parcel collection so that residents would not have to be in close contact with the delivery men when collecting their purchases.
Johor Bahru has been identified as a COVID-19 “red zone” by the Ministry of Health (MOH). In light of this, the residents have also put up notices in their building to remind residents about the preventive measures they can take.
Parc Regency Serviced Apartment is a freehold serviced residence located at Jalan Masai Jaya, Plentong that comprises over 2,000 units spread over five blocks.
