KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 6): The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has opened a new members-only branch in Petaling Jaya.

The branch office located at PJX-HM Shah Tower in Persiaran Barat opened its doors on Dec 2. The office will be open Mondays to Fridays, from 8.15 am to 5.15 pm with counter services operating from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.

Services offered include registration, nomination, withdrawals as well as Retirement Advisory Services (RAS), according to a press statement released by the EPF's Corporate Affairs Department.

Meanwhile, employers can conduct their transactions at the existing EPF Petaling Jaya Branch Enforcement Office at Level 9 and 10, Block 1A, Plaza Sentral, Jalan Stesen Sentral 5, Kuala Lumpur Sentral.

The new EPF PJ Branch replaces the EPF Jalan Gasing building that was closed down after a fire incident in February 2018. Built in 1960, the landmark six-storey Jalan Gasing office served as the EPF’s headquarters for 35 years until 1995 before the provident fund moved its headquarters to the current location in Jalan Raja Laut in downtown Kuala Lumpur.

Members are advised to contact the EPF Contact Management Centre at 03-8922 6000 or go to www.kwsp.gov.my, or visit any EPF counters nationwide for more information.
