KUCHING (Nov 16): Naim Holdings Bhd wants to build 20,000 units of affordable homes priced at about RM300,000 each in the state over the next decade, reported The Star yesterday.
Managing director Datuk Hasmi Hasan said in the report that demand for terraced houses priced in that range “is very good”.
Naim Holdings has already has launched 416 units of mainly terraced and semi-detached homes in Southlake zone of Permyjaya township in Miri.
Hasmi told the daily that Naim Holdings plans to launch another 150 units of affordable and medium-priced houses with GDV of RM70 million in Southlake.
Work on the new project will start in the next two months and is set for completion in 1Q2021.
According to reports, the first development in Permyjaya was launched in 1995.
To-date, more than 9,000 units of mainly residential and commercial units with a GDV of RM2 billion have been sold.
The mature township has facilities such as clubhouse, parks, gardens and schools, has a remaining landbank of 660ha.
