Titiwangsa

KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 1): Titiwangsa Lake/Park (pictured) here will be closed to the public for one year from today to facilitate upgrade works as part of Kuala Lumpur's River of Life project.

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) said the Titiwangsa Lake/Park was already being closed in stages since May 14, reported The Star.

"The closure was to allow upgrading works on facilities for the convenience and comfort of visitors in the future.

"As of Sept 1, Titiwangsa Lake will be completely closed off to the public except a for a jogging path," DBKL said in a statement, reported the English daily.

DBKL also warned joggers and walkers to keep safety in mind when working out there.

The park should be reopened in November 2019.
