KOTA KINABALU (August 3): The town of Kunah in eastern Sabah experienced the rumble of an earthquake that measured 3.4 on the Richter scale early this morning. 

It happened at 4.31am, reported the NST, and was situated 7 miles east of Kunak, at a depth of 10 kilometres. 

The Malaysian Meteorological Department stated that no tsunami warning has been issued.
