KUALA LUMPUR (July 12): Datuk Arifin Haji Awang has resigned as an executive director of Penang-based Ivory Properties Group Bhd, due to a health issue.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Ivory Properties said Arifin's resignation will be with effect from July 16.

Arifin, 63, was appointed to the post on July 3 last year. He was previously the director of the Penang Land and Mines Office and helmed the position for 12 years before his retirement in 2015.

Having amassed 30 years of experience in land management matters, Arifin is also an expert in land laws and land administration.

Ivory Properties' share price closed down 1 sen or 3.6% yesterday to 26.5 sen, for a market capitalisation of RM129.87 million. — theedgemarkets.com
