PETALING JAYA (May 22): S P Setia Bhd will be soft-launching the Barras starter homes in its Setia EcoHill 2 township in Semenyih, Selangor this weekend.

Barras is the first of the starter homes series in the township, comprising 114 units of 20ft by 70ft 2-storey terraced homes priced from RM513,000, according to a press release by the developer today.

Due for completion in the third quarter of 2020 (3Q20), the terraced homes feature two types of layout — 4 bedrooms and 3 bedrooms.

“We understand that security is one of the biggest concerns for every homebuyer. With that in mind, every home will be equipped with a home alarm system within a guarded and fenced community to ensure peace of mind for residents,” said Setia EcoHill general manager Koh Sooi Meng.

In addition, S P Setia is also engaging auxiliary police for community policing to further enhance the safety of residents within the township, he added.

“We are confident that the take-up rate for Barras will be a positive one due to the attractive pricing, especially for a freehold landed property, as well as plenty of other factors such as security, infrastructure and amenities,” he said.

According to the statement, young homeowners can purchase landed homes under the starter home series for under RM500,000 after applying discounts and rebates that are part of S P Setia’s Easy Home Ownership Package.

Aside from the 7% bumiputera discount and early bird rebates, the developer will also fully absorb all incidental costs including the legal fees from sales and purchase agreement, loan agreement and memorandum of transfer.

Pre-launch registration of the starter homes have started since mid-May in which, during this period, customers may place a booking with RM1,000 payable by cheque or bank draft to Setia EcoHill 2 Sdn Bhd to enjoy the early bird rebates.
