KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 26): Pesona Metro Holdings Bhd has bagged a RM161.86 million contract from Sime Darby Property (Subang) Sdn Bhd (SDPS) to build serviced apartments in Subang Jaya, Selangor.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Pesona Metro said its wholly-owned subsidiary Pesona Metro Sdn Bhd has accepted the letter of award from SDPS for the project.

The project consists of two blocks of 20-storey residential towers housing 361 units, one level of facilities, three levels of commercial units, nine levels of elevated carpark and one level of basement carpark.

Pesona Metro said it will be using internal funds for the project.

"The project is for a duration of 39 months commencing Jan 30, 2018," it added. "The project is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and enhance the group's net assets during the duration of the project."

Pesona Metro shares closed up 1.1% or 0.5 sen at 45 sen today, valuing the group at RM309.23 million. — theedgemarkets.com
