PETALING JAYA (Jan 19): As outrage roils over the death of a 14-year-old boy who was killed by a falling chair at a block of public housing in Pantai Dalam, a Facebook posting showing a woman allegedly throwing rubbish and unwanted furniture from some flats in Shah Alam has gone viral.
Photos captured by a Facebook user named Cma Sima show chairs, a kitchen stove, and pieces of metal strewn about the compound of the flats while a video taken by the same user sees the woman apologising and crying after being scolded by someone behind the camera.
Cma Sima said her actions could potentially hurt children playing at a nearby playground.
“Her excuse then was that before she threw [the rubbish] she saw there were no children, then only she threw… what a clever excuse… it turns out they always do that at other blocks… no one caught them, so that’s why they always do it,” said the Facebook user.
The post has been shared over 6,000 times since it was posted on Jan 2.
The Jan 16 incident which saw the Form Three student of SMK (M) La Salle in Brickfields die instantly of severe head injuries is being investigated by police as a murder case.
