PETALING JAYA (Jan 10): Firefighters have early this morning retrieved the body of a Bangladeshi worker who was trapped beneath the rubble of a building under construction that had collapsed at Jalan Cochrane.

The body was recovered at 5.23am, said Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department director Khiruddin Drahman.

He said a section of the building collapsed at around 5.30pm yesterday.

In a statement, Tenaga Nasional Bhd confirmed that a section of the floor at the main intake substation under construction near the Cochrane MRT Station had collapsed.
