PETALING JAYA (Dec 5): Menara Prudential at the new Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) financial district is expected to be completed with interior fit-outs and services and ready to be handed over to its anchor tenant by 1Q19.

The group had held a topping-up ceremony of the new 27-storey office tower, marking it as the first building to reach its top within the upcoming TRX, said IJM Corp Bhd in a press release today.

“We are excited to see this project take shape and to have reached this stage of the construction timeline. Reaching the top of this structure is a critical milestone for the construction team. True to IJM’s commitment to quality and delivery, the dedication and determination of the team are reflected in the great progress we have made,” said IJM Corp CEO and MD Datuk Soam Heng Choon.

Meanwhile, TRX City Sdn Bhd CEO Datuk Azmar Talib said: “This is a proud day for those of us who have been working hard to make the TRX vision a reality. The topping-up ceremony today, the first for TRX, pushes us a step closer towards the realisation of Kuala Lumpur’s financial district. We are excited to welcome the Prudential team here in 2019, and we have full confidence with our partner IJM, who has been living up to their solid reputation and commitment to delivery.”

The Grade A, LEED Gold-certified and MSC-status office building has a gross floor area of 560,000 sq ft and is coming up on a 1.18-acre parcel of land.

The building is expected to be completed in December next year and 84% of its net lettable area is already leased out.

Last month, IJM had announced that it has invested and will be developing the RM500 million office tower that will become insurer Prudential’s new Malaysian headquarters.
