KUALA LUMPUR (March 28): Bukit Hitam Development Sdn Bhd, property arm of TAHPS Group Bhd, plans to launch a landed development project with a gross development value (GDV) of more than RM100 million.

TAHPS Group CEO Eugene Khoo said the project will be made up of 140 units of gated and landed houses on a 20.23ha plot of land, Bernama reported today.

"We are looking at affordability at the moment. If you bring in something (a house) at a million (ringgit) plus, it would be very difficult to sell. But, if it's a RM700,000 landed property, I think it would do very well.

"When we look to launch a new project, we take into consideration the location, surrounding developments, existing projects and the secondary market's price point of view," Bernama reported Khoo as saying today.

The development is set to be launched by the fourth quarter of 2017. It is also part of the planned RM10 billion township at Bukit Puchong announced about two years ago

Khoo told Bernama the project should garner good response owing to its strategic location at Bukit Puchong — within Cyberjaya, Putrajaya and the Klang Valley.

The project will also be located between the Damansara-Puchong Highway and South Klang-Expressway, as well as the upcoming Sungai Buloh-Serdang Putrajaya MRT Line.

Khoo said the TAHPS Group still has about 242.81ha of freehold land in Bukit Puchong to be developed.

The company plans to utilise the landbank over the next 10 to 12 years.
