KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 29): Piling and foundation specialist Econpile Holdings Bhd (KL:ECONBHD) said it has secured a RM23.46 million construction contract for a proposed apartment development in Puchong, Selangor

The job, which involves site clearance, earthworks, piling, pile caps, transfer beams, retaining wall and a sub-basement, was awarded to the company’s wholly owned unit Econpile (M) Sdn Bhd, according to the builder’s bourse filing on Friday.

The project will be completed within 13 months.

Econpile said the job is expected to contribute positively to its earnings.

Separately, Econpile announced a net profit of RM1.13 million for its fourth quarter ended June 30, 2025 versus a net loss of RM9.17 million a year earlier, despite a 12.6% drop in revenue to RM76.58 million from RM87.65 million.

The turnaround was underpinned by higher margins from ongoing projects, the company noted.

No dividend was declared for the quarter.

Shares in Econpile ended half a sen or 1.35% lower at 36.5 sen, valuing the company at RM524.38 million.
