Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah expressed concern that the public are flouting the rules and standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the Government to curb Covid-19 infections.

These two new clusters have a total of six confirmed infections.

This is the fourth straight day since July 19 that the country recorded a double-digit number of new infections and rising active cases that have stayed above the 100-mark.

Of the 15 new cases, 11 were local transmissions and the other four were imported cases.

A new Covid-19 cluster has been detected in an old folk’s home in Kluang, Johor, with 14 confirmed positive cases, the Ministry of Health (MoH) said today.

The affordable segment is expected to perform better, driven by the mass market, especially demand from young professionals and families due to continued urbanisation.

Further investigations are ongoing into these new clusters

The number of active cases stood at 92 at present, up from 77 reported yesterday. Three patients remained in the intensive care unit with none requiring ventilator support.

“I would like to stress that I have never offered the deputy prime minister position to him in March after I became the Prime Minister, as alleged,” Muhyiddin said in a statement today.

70 individuals had been identified and screened through investigation and contact tracing activities.
