**##Overview##** Straddling the banks of Sungai Klang, Seksyen 24 is a mature township developed over 30 years. Born as result of the declaration of Shah Alam as the state capital of Selangor, the township is a self-sufficient township able to provide its residents with all the necessities they need to thrive. **##Amenities and Facilities##** Seksyen 24 boasts Uptown Shah Alam as one of its major attractions. Based at Kompleks Muhibbah Shah Alam Seksyen 24, it is a meeting place of entrepreneurs with over 450 stalls selling various items such as branded clothing, collectibles and motor accessories as well as food stalls. It is packed with visitors wanting to grab a bargain especially on weekends. Sesyen 24 has three schools in the vicinity which is SK Seksyen 24, SMK Seksyen 24 and SRA Seksyen 24. Many private clinics service the area but there is no public clinic as they are many public health facility including hospitals within other townships in Shah Alam. There is a public hall called Dewan Warga Tua which is open to public for weddings as well as other events. For recreation, a public fishing pond sits within the township along with a seafood center. **##Accessibility and Transportation##** The main access to Seksyen 24 is via Lebuhraya Kemuning-Shah Alam from which the road exits into Persiaran Jubli Perak and goes into the township. Another access is via Jalan Persiaran Raja Muda which also links with Persiaran Jubli Perak. Rapid KL bus depot is situated within the township so there is ample public bus links going into Seksyen 24. A free public bus service called Bas Selangorku provided by the government also runs through the area every hour.
